A little piece of how we came to be...

Cakes by Kasarda Charleston, SCThank you seeking a professional pastry chef to create a unique piece of edible art for your special occasion.  

I have been working in the Pastry Arts for more than 15 years, and received my degree from Johnson & Wales University in 2003.

My culinary career began in 1995 as a baker and cake decorator at the Sweet Heart Market, located in Liverpool, NY. 

I joined the Century Club, a private country club in upstate New York, in 1999 as the lead pastry chef. I soon realized I had a love for creating unique and exquisite pastries and was determined to take my skills to the next level.

A year or two later, I pursued a degree in the pastry arts at
Johnson & Wales University at the former Charleston,
SC campus.  While pursuing my education at Johnson & Wales, I gained valuable experience at the Westin Resort and the Café at Wexford, both located on Hilton Head Island, SC.

Upon graduation, I honed my skills at 
Kaminsky's dessert café, a local
Charleston favorite and Charleston City Paper winner for "Best of Charleston - Best Desserts" several years in a row.  

In the Fall of 2004, I was asked to join the opening pastry team for The Sanctuary hotel, located on Kiawah Island Resort. 

Now, I am able to bring my experience, passion and creativity to you!
